Handsome hound Goofy came to us from Bossier City, Louisiana. We have a great relationship often work with Looziana Basset Rescue when they need a hand. Goofy was transferred to one of our southern fosters where he was treated for heart worms. While under treatment it was discovered that something was wrong with Goofy's leg. His regular vet suspected he tore his ACL but Goofy was going to need further diagnostic testing after he was done his resting period for his heart worm treatment. Goofy was transferred to the care of a specialist in Birmingham where it was determined that he has a cruciate tear that will need surgical repair. This is an expensive surgery ($4000) that has a long recovery period. Tri-State has covered all of Goofy's heart worm treatment and now we will cover his surgery and aftercare for the next 3 months. Goofy is only 7 years old but considered a senior. We will take care of all his needs and make him happy and healthy again.
