2000 was Senior Pwincess Noodles Gera-Arnold. The elegant Noodles
found herself homeless at age 11 when her person had to go
to a nursing home. She found new slaves in Sandy Gera and Bob
Arnold. They thought they were giving a senior white dawg a
couch to quietly live out her life. Wrong. Noodles quickly
established her sense of entitlement to both
rule their house and the Tri-State social scene. (...just never,
ever, touch the royal paws!)
Sandybob had placed
first at the debut BoardWaddle
in 1999. Then Noodles moved in on Sam, Ivy (both
now ATB) and the greyhound
and
commanded her slaves to dedicate their lives to helping homeless
hounds.
They complied. Bob and Sandy are now President and Vice President
of
Tri-State.
Noodles celebrated her crowning as Grand
Marshall 2000 with her 13th birthday pawty. She
ruled the Tri-State houndage with dignity and grace
until she went to the bridge in November 2001. She is still revered
as quintessential proof that it is never too late for a basset
and the folks
who adopt her/him to start a new life.
