Cakie - Grand Marshall 01
Jamboree's Black Forest Cake
Back in 2001, Cakie was a
young houndette with her breederslaves, Hank and
Sharon Scully. She was three at the time, having been an only puppy
of her
Mama Cammy. She woofed her slaves that the show houndie scene was
very nice,
but she decided to retire early from competition, having talked
to her Aunts
FeyFey and Taco Bell, she knew that her homeless friends needed
to raise
money.
Hank and Sharon had done exceptionally well at begging moolah
for the paw
hounds. In 2000, they were among the three that first brought four
digit
pledges. Cakie was selected from their pack for her effective application
of
the 'LOOK', her pawsistent pawsonality, willingness to actually
do the whole
pawrade and her goofy wit. (Her pretty black fur also looked darn
good in
the tiara!) |
In 2004 Cakie
proudly announced the arrival of her three pupcakes, Petunia (Scully)
Taloolah (Quigley) and Jackie (Marini), all of whom waddled in 2005.
Thus far, Cakie is the only non-rescue houndie to be named Grand-Marshall,
due to her breeders' committment to also helping the homeless hounds.
Please join Cakie, the kids and Aunt Taco Bell waddling again for
their homeless friends this year.
