Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue is solely dedicated to the welfare of Basset Hounds. Changing lifestyles, relocations and irresponsible breeding all create an abundance of Bassets who need new homes and make wonderful pets.

Tri-State is very careful about the homes selected for the Bassets as many have already lost the security of their original homes and others have been abused, abandoned or neglected. In all cases we try to match the Basset to the home we think will work out best for him or her.

Flash (The Wonder Dog) was rescued by Tri-State last summer after he was cruelly shot by his owner in Kentucky.   He had to have one leg amputated and another was badly damaged.  Sue Mason fell in love and adopted him, and his happy and loving approach to life prompted her to see how he would react to paw painting.
